The Mols Laboratory is owned by the Museum of Natural History in Århus and is situated at the very centre of the Mols National Park. The laboratory was established in 1941 and is used for scientific research, education and field courses. On the 150 hectares of the extremely diverse nature owned by the Mols Laboratory, you find a very high biodiversity with lots of rare and endangered species.

In the Molslab area, there are two public trails, where you can enjoy the landscape, the wildlife, and learn more about the research in biology and ecology.

A ranger (nature interpreter) is employed at the Mols Laboratory. During the season, we offer guided tours for tourists and foreign visitors, with main emphasis on biodiversity and scientific reserach in the national park. For more information, please contact the Nature Interpreter, Morten DD Hansen, at mortendd@molslab.dk
